United Kingdom: selling or supplying single-use vapes has been banned since 1 June 2025. The official UK government guidance explains how reusable products are defined. Check the exact product format rather than relying on a puff-count label.
European Union: Article 11 of the EU Batteries Regulation applies from 18 February 2027 and sets removability and replaceability requirements for portable batteries, with definitions and derogations. It should not be described as a general EU-wide vape-sales ban. Product rules can also vary by member state, so check the current national requirements for the exact product.
United States: FDA tobacco-product marketing authorization is not the same as FDA approval. The FDA says the products on its current authorized e-cigarette list are the e-cigarettes that may lawfully be sold in the United States. Authorization does not mean a product is safe.

Value depends on current local pricing
Refillable systems separate the reusable device cost from the ongoing pod or e-liquid cost. That can lower ongoing cost for some users, but the result depends on current local prices, pack size, consumption and device life. VapeRisk does not name a universal cheapest format without a dated like-for-like price set. For adults moving away from single-use products
