VapeRisk Teardown Findings: Claimed vs Measured

One page, every measurement. VapeRisk Labs puts headline vape hardware claims next to component-level bench findings — here is the running record of what the box says versus what the hardware shows.

Quick answer: VapeRisk Labs examines vape hardware at component level and measures the specs brands advertise. This page is the running, citable index of those claimed-vs-measured findings. Highlights so far: the Vaporesso DOJO 0+10’s “1,000 mAh” cell delivered 826 mAh usable (about 17% lower, single unit); the Vozol Rave 40000’s 20 ml tank held about 18.5 ml effective; the Al Fakher Crown Cubic 30K’s 2+10 refill is real but not instant; and the Elf Bar MAX’s removable, recyclable battery bay is real, though its refill bottle is proprietary. Every figure below comes from a specific unit VapeRisk Labs examined, to a stated method — not from a spec sheet.

Claimed vs measured — summary table

Each row links to the full teardown with method, photos and the complete bill of materials.

Device Headline claim VapeRisk Labs finding (specific unit examined) Read
Vaporesso DOJO 0+10 1,000 mAh battery 826 mAh usable to a 3.27 V cutoff — ~17% below the nominal rating Teardown
Vozol Rave 40000 20 ml e-liquid ~18.5 ml effective oil-holding (estimated) Teardown
Vozol Rave 40000 40,000 puffs Not tested — we ran no standardised puff test, so we make no measured puff claim Teardown
Al Fakher Crown Cubic 30K 2+10 refillable · 30,000 puffs Confirmed refill format: 2 mL pod + 10 mL reservoir; no instant fill; magnetic dock needed a firm press; puffs not bench-tested Teardown
Elf Bar MAX “0-second” refill + recyclable, rechargeable build Confirmed: genuine piston refill; removable, recyclable 650 mAh battery bay. Undisclosed: proprietary non-universal bottle (lock-in); 41 parts Teardown

We report what we measured on the specific unit examined, to a stated method. A gap between a nominal cell rating and usable capacity is normal; we publish the measured number rather than alleging mislabelling.

Vaporesso DOJO 0+10 — measured detail

  • Battery: 1,000 mAh nominal → 826 mAh usable (18300 cell, discharged to 3.27 V, single unit) — ~17% below the headline number.
  • Output ≈ 9.85 W in ECO; draw resistance 322.6 Pa half-open / 220 Pa full-open at 22.5 mL/s.
  • 10 mL, dual 0.9 Ω coil, 33-part build, 102.2 × 43.4 × 26 mm.
  • “0-second” push-to-fill refill: confirmed as a real mechanism. Sensory panel found the actual vape weak (airy draw, low vapour).
  • Exact 2025 retail model name unconfirmed; findings describe the unit’s on-device “0+10” designation only.

Vozol Rave 40000 — measured detail

  • Capacity: 20 ml marked → ~18.5 ml effective oil-holding (estimated, single unit).
  • 40,000-puff claim: not verified — no standardised puff test run; we make no measured puff statement.
  • Battery 1,000 mAh (14500 cell, 3.7 V / 3.7 Wh, USB-C) — consistent with the rechargeable positioning.
  • Two mesh coils ≈ 0.61–0.64 Ω; Regular ≈ 15 W (one coil) / Surge ≈ 25 W (both).
  • Sealing flagged as the main hardware weak point (leak-risk) on the unit examined; ESD and ~7 V input over-voltage protection present.

Al Fakher Crown Cubic 30K — measured detail

  • Format: 2+10 refillable confirmed — 2 mL pod plus 10 mL refill reservoir, with a separable 800 mAh battery rod.
  • 30,000-puff claim: not verified — no standardised puff test run; the teardown can confirm hardware, not a measured puff total.
  • Refill caveat: no pump or pressurisation; oil feeds by gravity and wicking, so it is reusable but not an instant fill-and-vape system.
  • Battery and charging: 800 mAh “111650” cell; charging measured at about 0.8 A constant current and roughly 53 minutes to full.
  • Output: measured about 18 W in MTL and 19 W in DTL from parallel mesh heating sections at about 0.6–0.65 Ω equivalent.

Elf Bar MAX — measured detail

  • Refill: piston “0-second” mechanism confirmed — oil is force-fed to the coil on bottle insertion, not capillary-wicked.
  • Recyclability: removable battery bay confirmed — solder-free modular build; the 650 mAh / 2.41 Wh 13450 cell separates for recycling.
  • 2 mL pod + 10 mL bottle (“2+10”), 0.8 Ω mesh coil, ≈560 mA charge, ≈2 µA standby, 41-part build.
  • Undisclosed by marketing: the oil bottle is proprietary and non-universal (ecosystem lock-in); the cell carries no battery-maker brand.

How we measure (and what these numbers are)

VapeRisk Labs examines vape devices at component level and records hardware observations from the units we reviewed. Battery figures, output, capacity, draw resistance and standby current are measured or estimated on the bench where noted. Each result describes the specific unit examined and is not generalised to every unit of that model. Full method notes are included in each teardown.

FAQ

Does the Vaporesso DOJO 0+10 really have a 1,000 mAh battery?
The cell carries a 1,000 mAh nominal rating, but on the unit VapeRisk Labs tested, usable capacity discharged to a 3.27 V cutoff was 826 mAh — about 17% lower. Printed mAh is a nominal spec, not guaranteed usable capacity, so this is a measured single-unit result rather than a claim of false labelling.

Is the Vozol Rave 40000’s 20 ml capacity accurate?
On the unit examined, the wick’s effective oil-holding worked out to about 18.5 ml, so the 20 ml figure appears marketing-rounded. VapeRisk Labs did not run a standardised puff test, so it makes no measured statement on the 40,000-puff claim.

Is the Al Fakher Crown Cubic 30K really a reusable 2+10?
On the unit examined, the 2+10 format is real: a 2 mL pod sits on a 10 mL refill reservoir with a reusable 800 mAh battery rod. The caveat is convenience: there is no pump or pressurisation, so the refill is not instant, and the magnetic dock needed a firm press on this unit.

Is the Elf Bar MAX really recyclable?
Its teardown confirmed a modular, solder-free build with a removable battery compartment, so the 650 mAh cell can be separated for recycling. The refill bottle, however, is proprietary and non-universal — a lock-in detail the marketing omits.

How does VapeRisk Labs test these claims?
VapeRisk Labs examines each device to the component level and measures battery, output, capacity and draw on the bench where applicable — reporting results for the specific unit examined, to a stated method.
